WWE 2K20 Did Not Meet Take-Two CEO’s Expectations

With the President and now the CEO both admitting to Take-Two’s disappointment over WWE 2K20, can 2K and Visual Concepts actually get a decent game out of it before it’s really too late?

It’s been a short while since our last story about WWE 2K20, but that doesn’t mean it’s got any better.

In fact, the game has performed so badly since launch that Take-Two’s CEO, Strauss Zelnick, revealed that Take-Two is “disappointed”. Apparently, 2K and developers Visual Concepts are working hard to address all the issues found in the game. And boy, is there a lot of them!

Overall, Zelnick noted how WWE 2K20 did not meet their expectations in terms of sales or quality. However, it seems that Take-Two is remaining positive on the future of the licence, as Zelnick added;

“The WWE brand continues to expand worldwide and there remains a substantial long-term opportunity to grow our WWE 2K series by improving the quality of the game”.

You may recall that in Take-Two’s previous earnings call, President Karl Slatoff was “disappointed with the reviews and consumer feedback for WWE 2K20”. Even despite several patches since launch, the game still has not lived up to anybody’s expectations, least of all Take-Two’s.
