World of Warcraft Classic Character Limit Lifted

Ahead of its midnight launch, Blizzard have lifted their previous restriction of three WoW Classic characters. Players with an active subscription can now create up to ten characters per Classic realms, which works out at 50 characters.

Warcraft Classic is generating as much buzz as the Battle for Azeroth launch. As such, Blizzard have increased the number of realms available.

New Classic Servers

Name                                    Type                      Timezone

Incendius                            PvP                        Eastern

Bigglesworth                      PvP                        Pacific

Old Blanchy                        Normal                 Pacific

Westfall                               Normal                 Eastern

This should ease the strain on limited servers. However, it should be noted that Blizzard has cautioned that players hoping to create characters on full or high servers can expect server queues.

“We urge players on realms marked Full or High to plan to play on one of these new realms to avoid the longest queues, and to help spread the player population as evenly as possible and provide the best play experience for everyone,” Blizzard said.

WoW Classic is “Azeroth as it was.” It is Azeroth in its pre-Burning Crusade. It’s a full and faithful recreation of the original World of Warcraft, featuring character models, mechanics and skill trees that were present at launch.
