Watch Dogs: Legion Multiplayer Mode Delayed till 2021

Gotta squash those bugs Ubisoft!

Ubisoft has taken the decision to delay the Multiplayer mode for the recently released Watch Dogs: Legion.

Announced through a Blog Post, Ubisoft stated that:

Since the launch of Watch Dogs: Legion, some of you continue to have technical issues preventing you from enjoying the game…

As part of our commitment to fixing the game’s issues, we’ve decided to delay the Online mode of Watch Dogs: Legion to early 2021. This will allow us to focus on fixing issues with single player, and it will give us more time to test the Online experience to help ensure a smooth launch of the mode.

And boy have their been a few problems since launch.

Say what you see folks!

From bugs that complete crash systems whilst playing, to game ruining bugs, it’s not been an easy launch for Watch Dogs: Legion, a game which, shall we say, has had a lukewarm reception from the gaming community.

When it does launch, the Online mode will allow cross-play, of up to four players to create chaos in the full sandbox arena of London.

With Ubisoft now focusing on the single-player experience, theirs hope that a number of patches will be forthcoming, starting with Update 2.20. You can read through the entire patch list here.

Here’s a tip Ubisoft, maybe don’t rush things and release games with a load of bugs in it… just a suggestion.

Watch Dogs: Legion is out now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X and Google Stadia.
