Warzone Season Four Reloaded Brings Some Big Additions

Warzone Season Four Reloaded Header

Call of Duty’s Warzone Season Four Reloaded update goes live today, bringing with it a plethora of goodies. It looks like the new additions could shake things up quite a bit too.

The first and probably most significant aspect of the update is the increased player count in battle royale quads. As of today, that means there will now be 50 teams all vying for the coveted title of Last Team Standing.

New Gear

The above isn’t all that’s new in the Warzone though. Players will now be able to unlock a new operator named Roze, and we think you’ll agree she looks pretty damn cool.

On top of that there is now a new sniper rifle being added to the mix. The Rytec AMR is a .50 Cal that might just make those cross-the-map shots that little bit more lethal. It can be unlocked by completing in-game challenges, and then kitted out in the gunsmith as-per-usual.

To go with this new sniper, there is also a new bit of gear to be found in Verdansk, the Spotter Scope. This nifty bit of kit is essentially a high-powered scope but without the giveaway glint. Allowing you to scout ahead and mark enemies without giving yourself away, a must for the crack shots among you.

New Ways to Play

In addition to new gear, there’s also a couple of new gameplay variations to look out for. One such addition is the new “Supply Run Contract”. When activated, your squad will be directed to a relatively nearby buy station. You’ll then have a set time to reach the buy station in order to receive a discount on anything your purchase. Running will only get you there so quickly though, so it might be an idea to travel in a bit more style. Easy with Season Four’s addition of new horn tunes – Ride of the Valkyries, anyone?

If you’re looking for a bigger departure from the standard battle royale formula, Juggernaut Royale may be what you’re looking for. This mode will work largely like the regular BR, but with the addition of a single air-dropped care package containing the Juggernaut suit. Once in your possession it’s probably about time you wreak some havoc on your enemies, using the mini-gun to take down enemies and vehicles alike.

Once the Juggernaut is sent to the Gulag, a new Juggernaut care package will be dropped somewhere in the map. Do your best to take control of it and take down anyone who might get in your way.

More Into Multiplayer?

If you’re not too bothered about the battle royale aspect, there are still some new multiplayer additions to get excited about in today’s update.

First off is the new map: Cheshire Park. “Located in urban London, England, Cheshire Park is a picturesque garden and conservatory where Operators will battle from door to door or through the central flora-filled area.”

Second, and probably the more exciting of the two, is a new mode to jump into – Team Defender. Team Defender offers a bit of a twist on the Capture the Flag formula. Instead of each team attempting to steal the other’s flag, there will be just one flag. The aim of the game is to be the team holding onto the flag the longest.

We’ve covered the big stuff, but if you want the full lowdown on what’s new, check out the patch notes. If you’re planning a trip to the Warzone good luck out there, you just might need it.
