You may recall that we recently reported on indie Viking survival game, Valheim, having sold in excess of two million copies within two weeks. [Hopefully you did, at least. We only posted it four days ago].
Well, we’ve got some more news to share with you all; Valheim has now sold in excess of three million copies within 17 days.
Iron Gate Studio, Valheim‘s developers, posted the following to Steam;
“This February has been truly wild! Less than three weeks into Early Access, we’ve already hit another milestone. Valheim has now been purchased by over three million brave Vikings…”
Iron Gate also shared the additional records Valheim has smashed. Within the same post, the team shared how Valheim has now;
- received “over 60,000 ‘Overwhelmingly Positive’ reviews
- officially entered Steam’s Top 250 best-reviewed games of all time. Valheim is currently sat at #101 (as of 21:30 on 09/02)!
- Valheim was Twitch’s 11th most-watch game (as of 21:30 on 09/02)
And again, this is all within 17 days of being in Early Access launch on Steam. Give us another five days and we’ll undoubtedly have another update for you. In all seriousness, a massive congratulations to Iron Gate. Truly well deserved.
