Let’s have a serious talk for a moment; Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a goose? To be able to flap around, honk at strangers, and be a general little git? Soon, you’ll be able to live out those fantasies and more as the Untitled Goose Game is coming 20th September.
I know, it’s wonderful news.
For anyone scratching their heads, Untitled Goose Game is a “stealth-slapstick-sandbox” indie game where you, well, play as a goose.
Untitled Goose Game sees you being one bad goose. Set in lush environments, you have plenty of freedom to cause chaos. Do you want to annoy a farmer? Go ahead. Fancy honking at a belligerent old woman? Nothing stopping you, my friend.
However, it’s not all mayhem and mischief as the gameplay builds to puzzle-solving scenarios. The sort that could only be solved by our foul-feathered-fiend.
Developed by House House, the game has been in development for nearly three years, as confirmed by the developer’s Twitter account;
“After almost three years in development, it’s surreal to think we’re so close to releasing our Untitled Goose Game, and we’re so excited to share it with you.”
It may not look like much, but the gameplay has already charmed many fans and critics, including Polygon’s Dante Douglas.
Untitled Goose Game will cost $19.99 with a “special limited-time launch sale price of 14.99” for PC, Mac, and Nintendo Switch. It also boasts no fewer than 11 languages. No word yet on whether geese or pig-Latin is included, however.
