Deja vu strikes again as YET ANOTHER potential Ubisoft leak has hit the Internet, hours before Ubisoft Forward takes place
This time, a potential release date for Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla has been leaked on the games’ Italian Instagram account.
The now-deleted post gives the date of 17th November as the game’s release date, just TWO days before Cyberpunk 2077 is set to launch.
If the date is correct, that is some serious competition to go up against. No doubt the actual date will be confirmed at Ubisoft Forward tomorrow.
But with all these leaks, Ubisoft needs to get their house in order.
Another day, another Assassin’s Creed Valhalla leak for Ubisoft.
Ubisoft has once again had to scramble to pull down leaked footage from the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Valhall. This comes just days after stopping another leak.
In the now-deleted video (Streamable may still be available), we catch a glimpse of a boss fight with the female lead character Eivor. Plus, we get a better look at the map itself.
Another day, another pillage.
The boss fight against the mysterious Cordelia shows off some of the game-play mechanics which, at first glance look reminiscent of Elder Scrolls.
Stamina bars and damage counters make the game feel more like an RPG and it shows the leap from previous games in the series.
After the boss fight, we get a look at Eivor’s skill tree and inventory. (Hello again, Skyrim) and a brief look at the sprawling in-game map. The new map focuses on East Anglia with more showing East and Central Mercia (Modern-day London and The Midlands).
This looks like a huge update from Odyssey. Whilst you can’t draw too much from the footage, it certainly will build expectations for the game when it releases. Doubly so with it being the first release on next-gen consoles.
With Ubisoft Forward just days away, these leaks couldn’t come at a worse time for Ubisoft, whether intentional or not.
Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla is due to release December 2020 on all current and next-gen consoles. Ubisoft Forward takes place 11 am PST (7 pm GMT) on 12th of July. Stay with Any Button Gaming for all the fallout.
