Nintendo is warning players to be careful when transferring Pokémon from Pokémon GO to Pokémon Let’s Go. One of the big selling features of Pokémon Let’s Go was the ability to transfer Pokémon between it and Pokémon GO.
Some players may have experienced difficulty when trying this option. Nintendo has advised that the issue is caused when the Pokémon GO app gets disconnected during transfers. Unfortunately if this occurs the transfer cannot be resumed and the Pokémon being transferred is often lost.
To prevent this from happening Nintendo has advised that players should avoid actions that may cause a loss of connection between the 2 games; such as:
- Pressing the HOME button or the POWER Button on the console
- Pausing the app, pressing the HOME button, or turning off Bluetooth settings on the smart device
- Having too much distance between the Nintendo Switch console and the smart device.
If you have experience this problem, although the missing Pokémon may be lost forever, Nintendo recommends uninstalling the Pokémon GO app from your smart device and reinstalling it. This should fix future transfers and will not affect Pokémon still available in your Pokémon GO app.
If you are experiencing any difficulties or unusual activity with Pokémon Let’s Go or the transfer of Pokémon between the two apps, head to the Nintendo site, for your region and select “Support”.
