Hype for the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 remaster is large.
The prospect of taking on those big air moves; adding that combo string together to get the new high-score; taking on that warehouse; and listening to all those glorious Nu-Metal/mid-90s pop-punk songs again.
Only, we won’t be able to listen to all of the game’s original soundtrack.
Despite Activision doing a tremendous job on it’s music licensing for the game, some songs slipped through their grasp.
A total of five songs from the original games will not be making a comeback.
As reported by Kotaku, the following five songs have been cut from the remasters:
- “Cyco Vision” by Suicidal Tendencies
- “Committed” by Unsane
- “Bring the Noise” by Anthrax & Public Enemy
- “B-Boy Document ’99” by The High & Mighty
- “Out With The Old” by Alley Life
Thankfully, all of the other songs have made it in. If you’d like to take a trip down memory lane, an official THPS 1+2 playlist has been put together on Spotify.
However, if you do listen to the playlist and think a couple of songs are missing, it’s because they are. Evenrude’s “Vilified” and Speedealer’s “Screamer (Nothing to Me)” aren’t on the playlist. That is solely because neither song is on Spotify. (Thanks for the heads up, Eurogamer!)
