Three Rockstar Games Announced For Xbox One Backwards Compatibility

If you’ve already played through the back-log of games you’ve had, why not go back and play a few classic ones? Next week on June 7th, 2018, three more titles are being added to the list of backward compatible games on Xbox One. If you are a Rockstar fan, then you’ll be even more excited to learn that Table Tennis is coming to consoles!

If that didn’t get you cheering like mad…well, I can’t really blame you.

Rockstar recently announced Table Tennis, Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, and Midnight Club LA will be coming soon to Xbox One Backward Compatibility on their twitter page. If you’re unfamiliar with these titles, I’ll give you a quick break-down, or you can look at the longer descriptions on the Rockstar Games page.

Rockstar Games Presents: Table Tennis

If you are a ping-pong enthusiast, this game provides 11 characters and the ability to mastering all of the different shot styles virtually. Each character has a unique playstyle, and it’s your job to make them win all the glory.

This is not Daniel-San type training, and pressing a button is not going to give you the ability to win a table tennis tournament.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

I’m going to quote Rockstar on this description.

“After escaping the pressures of life in Los Santos, Carl Johnson returns home after his mom’s murder to find his family falling apart, his childhood friends all heading towards disaster, and corrupt neighborhood cops framing him for homicide. CJ is forced on a journey that takes him across the entire state of San Andreas, to save his family and to take control of the streets.”

Also, if you owned the original Xbox version, you automatically get upgraded to the Xbox 360 version. It has better resolution and achievements.

Midnight Club: Los Angeles

This street racing game allows you to customize your vehicle with custom kits and performance parts. Both editions of the game (standard and complete) will be backward compatible.

On Thursday, June 7th, 2018, gamers that had owned any of the titles digitally will see them appear in the “Ready to Install” section of their Xbox One. If you owned it physically, just insert the disc and the game should start downloading automatically.
