The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe Edition has, unfortunately, been delayed once again.
The witty first-person narrative game was supposed to come out in 2019.
That was, according to developers Crows Crows Crows and Galactic Cafe.
Obviously, it’s now 2020. And, still no Ultra Deluxe Edition. That is because the game was pushed until this year…and now it isn’t.
Obviously, 2020 hasn’t exactly been the best of years to do, well, anything productive. Game releases are seemingly no exception. In fact, it’s through use of other developer’s delay announcements that Crows Crows Crows made the Stanley Parable delay announcement;
If you can guess what all three of these delay posters were, you get a special prize!
Sadly, the prize is not an advanced copy of Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe Edition. Believe me, if we had one to give away, I would have snapped that up long ago.
For anyone thinking to themselves just what The Stanley Parable is, sit back. The original game (the non-Ultra Deluxe Edition one) had players take on the role of titular Stanley. As Stanley, you were tasked with taking part in an ongoing elaborate battle of wits and wills with the Narrator.
There’s humour, absurdities, melodrama, and whimsy. Plus, a lot of puzzles. We like puzzles.
The Ultra Deluxe Edition promises much more content, including new endings. Creators Davey Wreden and William Pugh have also teased that the amount of new content they’re putting into the Ultra Deluxe will be around half the size of the original game’s entire script!
We’ll keep you posted when and if The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe Edition ever makes it out alive.
