Minecraft is the game that keeps on giving. The latest update came out six months ago and now Version 1.19 aka “The Wild” comes out next week. The long-awaited update introduces two new biomes called The Deep Dark and The Mangrove Swamp.
The Deep Dark
The Deep Dark takes the player beneath the surface, as you might have guessed from the name. The only way to find the new biome is to go spelunking and then proceed to dig down. Players will find remnants of an ancient civilization hidden beneath the otherwise impenetrable bedrock layer. The Deep Dark also features a new mob called Wardens. Wardens are sightless monsters that hunt by sound and vibration. So a stealthy approach to mining is crucial for survival. Players will also have to look out for Shrieker traps that attract the Warden. The Deep Dark biome was originally meant to launch as part of the Caves & Cliffs update before getting delayed.
The Mangrove Swamp
The Mangrove Swamp on the other hand adds mangrove trees and craftable mud blocks as well as a new flying creature called Allay and frogs. The frogs naturally spawn in the swamp biome and feed on firelies. Traversing the Mangrove Swamp can be a little tricky so Mojang is also adding a new boat type which comes with its own chest.
The Wild for Minecraft: Bedrock Edition comes out on June 7th. The Wild for Minecraft: Bedrock Edition Is available for download on the following platforms: Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch, Playstation and Xbox. Windows, Mac, and Linux require Minecraft Jave Edition.
