The Adventure Zone D&D Animated Show In Development

Long time fans of Dungeons & Dragons live-play podcast, The Adventure Zone rejoiced on Thursday. The Hollywood Reporter tweeted a list of content that is being prepped for NBC’s new streaming service, Peacock. This included an animated show based off the show.

Staring the McElroy Family, the popular D&D podcast’s wacky antics and the No. 1 New York Times bestselling graphic novel series has led to the call for an new evolution of media. The Adventure Zone follows a trio of unlikely and unprofessional heroes and their fanatic Dungeon Master as quest across a fantasy setting.
But fans should take note; this is just a work in progress. Peacock has only green-lit the for development. Currently, this means that the show hasn’t been picked up for a whole series. The official Adventure Zone cast took twitter to clarify this shortly after the announcement.
To clarify, the TAZ animated series is currently in development at Peacock but has not as of yet been picked up as a series. Here’s hoping!
