WWE 2K20 has been plagued by bugs and glitches galore. Players and critics alike have been outspoken on the game’s problems – including yours truly.
Publishers 2K has already addressed the issues (briefly) and stating how they will improve the game through various patches. The first patch only addressed some of those issues. As a result of 2K’s botched (pun intended) launch, Sony was offering refunds to players.
Needless to say, it’s been a less than stellar launch for 2K. During the company’s second-quarter earnings call this past week, Take-Two president Karl Slatoff spoke about WWE 2K20’s launch;
“While we are disappointed with the reviews and consumer feedback for WWE 2K20, … Visual Concepts released a patch that should address many of the concerns and they will continue to make further enhancements to the gameplay experience”.
“The WWE brand continues to expand worldwide and we believe there remains a substantial long-term opportunity to grow our WWE 2K series by improving the quality of the game”.
Whether things will improve or not for WWE 2K20 remains to be seen. Take-Two not being impressed with the negative reception and reviews received, they’ll likely look to improve it going forward.
