About Super Rare Games

SRG is, historically, best known for its line-up of physical Switch games. These games are released – roughly – every three weeks through its own online store. SRG’s mission statement has always been about supporting talented indie developers of all sizes. Hence, Super Rare Originals is the natural expansion of this statement.

SRG has worked with 100s of developers over the last four years. As such, the team want to support talented indie developers in the long term. And, hopefully, will help to start changing the industry to be more developer-focused. The team is taking an “indie first” approach, as it believes publishers should feel honoured to work with developers. Unfortunately, the power dynamic is more often than not the other way around currently.

Furthermore, SRG only signs games it is genuinely and personally passionate about. As with all aspects of their business, SRG’s main motivator is simply wanting to work on cool things with cool people! While the team hopes to change the lives of its developer friends, if a game were to release and break even, SRG would still consider this a success. It would be a success to have worked on something awesome and continue to support the game and its developer long-term.
