Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is Getting a Next-Gen Upgrade

One of the better Star Wars games to come out recently, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is getting a native next-gen upgrade, it was announced today.

The small announcement, which was part of a larger post about gaming on Star Wars Day (May 4th…obviously), didn’t give too much away about the upgrade, but it’ll be free for everyone who owns the game on current-gen consoles.

Coming this summer, we’re excited to announce the next-gen release of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, bringing a number of technical improvements to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S console versions of the game. This will be a free cross-generation upgrade to current owners. More details will come soon.

As with any next-gen upgrade, we’re expecting smoother controls, faster loading times and better graphics.

On top of the news about the free upgrade, If you don’t already own the game, it’s going to be heavily discounted (up to 70% off) for both Standard and Deluxe Editions across the PlayStation, Xbox, Origin and Steam stores. So you can buy it for peanuts now and get a free next-gen upgrade in the summer! The offer runs from April 28th to May 12th.
