As reported by Gamesradar, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has broken several game records. Amongst its accolades, Fallen Order can lay claim to being the fastest-selling digital Star Wars game in its opening fortnight. On top of this, it is also EA’s best-selling Star Wars PC title at launch. Something that EA has let people know. This means it beat out both Star Wars Battlefront 2 and The Old Republic in their respective opening fortnights.
This has lead Respawn to comment on the success of Fallen Order. And funnily enough, it seems they don’t intend to leave the Star Wars franchise anytime soon.
Respawn’s Brand Strategy Director Charlie Houser spoke to GamesRadar+, saying;
“We’ve had an absolute blast [making Fallen Order]. For a new team that’s come together at Respawn, it’s been a lot of learning to pull this off. Pending player reaction and feedback, and how everyone’s feeling about it, we would love to continue making awesome experiences and stories and keep telling that story in Star Wars”.
Surely, the powers-that-be in EA must be chomping at the bit waiting for Respawn’s next game considering Fallen Order’s success. As Respawn are seemingly game to make a sequel and EA love money, a sequel should be a no-brainer. Of course, there’s no confirmation about a Fallen Order 2.
