Sony Announces Trio of Video Game TV Adaptations in Production

During a recent presentation to investors, Sony spoke about its various avenues – from TV to video games and everything in-between.

Sony noted how it has a number of licences currently in production, with a number of others planned.

Namely, an Horizon: Zero Dawn series on Netflix, a God of War Amazon series, and a Gran Turismo pitch.

There’s little-to-no extra information on any of these series to go on, just yet.

However, these three projects are the latest Sony PlayStation properties to be getting a TV and/or movie adaptations.

Of course, Uncharted has been released as the first part of the “PlayStation Productions” series of properties.

There’s also a The Last of Us TV show in production at HBO, a Twisted Metal show for NBC’s Peacock branch, and a Ghost of Tsushima movie.

The Last of Us seems closest to release, with Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey starring as Joel and Ellie, respectively.

Recently, casting for Twisted Metal has been announced. Neve Campbell and Anthony Mackie are on-board as Raven and John Doe. Meanwhile, Thomas Haden Church and Stephanie Beatriz are tapped for unannounced roles.

These are just the latest in an ever-growing line-up of in-production adaptations that includes Fallout, A Plague Tale, and Disco Elysium.
