At first glance, ConcernedApe’s Stardew Valley seems like a cosy and care-free farming game.
However, if you are familiar with the game you know that it is so much more than that. There are some secrets still waiting to be discovered. At least according to the developer.
Eric Barone, otherwise known as Concerned Ape, replied to a fan on Twitter asking if the game had any secrets left that hadn’t been discovered yet:
“I think this is currently true, yea”.
Certainly, there are more secrets than I could count.
One of them is the ConcernedApe logo on the intro screen. The logo loses its sunglasses and opens its eyes when clicked. Another is if you type “ConcernedApe” as your favourite thing in character creation, you’ll get some unique dialogue when you use a StarDrop. If you were to boot up the game on 25th December, you might even spot Father Christmas himself.
Some secrets require a bit more work, however. For instance, if you are a proud owner of the Galaxy Sword, you know how well some of these secrets are hidden. Considering how obscure some of these hidden gems are it’s no wonder some might be left out there, somewhere.
On another note, Stardew Valley is getting a new update soon. The latest update (1.4) came out this past November. There is no confirmed release date for the 1.5 update, but it is hopefully not far away.
