Saints Row: The Third Remastered Coming to Steam

Saints Row: The Third Remastered Coming to Steam

The Saints Row Twitter account has recently confirmed that the third game will be available on Steam.

The news came in response to another user asking if there was any plans to bring The Third Remastered to the platform.

And we won’t have to wait long either, as the game will arrive 22nd May.

Whilst this is beyond the typical realms of a big announcement, it does mark the end of end of Epic’s exclusivity deal. For many fans of the series, The Third is the best entry in the franchise. The game finally manages to step out of GTA‘s shadow, and, in doing so, manages to carve out its own niche in the market; the sort of crazy, over-the-top carnage that, ironically, GTA had since abondoned to become a more serious affair.

The sequel, Saints Row: IV was…okay, but didn’t really do much to expand on the series. In fact, a lot of IV was basically a retread of The Third, with a slightly rebuffed story – you were now President of the US as opposed to just a gang boss.

However, regardless of your preferences, Saints Row: The Third Remastered will be available on Steam from 22nd May. Keep an eye on the platform to know when you can add it to your library.
