Developer Deep Silver has announced that Saint’s Row 4: Re-Elected will arrive to the Switch on March 27. Fans of the cult games will be excited to learn that the latest title is making its way to the Switch on such a short timescale.
The release includes a massive amount of DLC content, including both expansions: Enter The Dominatrix and How The Saints Save Christmas. It also contains the Dubstep Gun (Remix) and Commander-In-Chief content packs, which introduce new weapons and outfits to the game.
What can I expect?
The series follows the adventures of the Third Street Saints gang. Titles typically feature pop culture references and on-the-nose parody alongside a generous helping of gang violence. The latest offering is introduced by Deep Silver as follows:
You are the President of the United States of America, and you must save all of us on Earth.
The sci-fi influenced storyline is something of a departure from previous titles, which tended to focus on street disputes. This campaign sees you gain super powers and take on an alien invasion.
Metacritic indicates that the game received favourable reviews on the whole, although the game has polarised many critics. Some weren’t too keen. However, IGN’s Jeremy Azevedo proclaimed it “the best sandbox game of all time”. Quite a big shout but there you go.
Saints Row 4: Re-Elected is available for pre-order from the Nintendo eShop for £34.99.
