Rockstar Is Working On Remakes For Three Grand Theft Auto Games

Could the fabled GTA trilogy come out this year?

Rockstar has been teasing us for a while now with rumours about a potential remake of some of their old games, and it’s not just any old games either. According to reports from Kotaku, the trilogy consists of Grand Theft Auto: III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

Furthermore, Kotaku says that the games are made using Unreal Engine and feature a mix of both old and new graphics to breathe new life into the old classics while at the same time keeping the nostalgia that the older player base feels. Rockstar Dundee (former Ruffian Games and creators of Crackdown 2) is behind the development.

Also, another glimmer of hope. It seems like we won’t have to wait that long for the rumoured Grand Theft Auto trilogy either. Going by Kotaku’s report the GTA trilogy will release as early as October or the beginning of November.

The games releases on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Switch, Stadia, iOS, Android and PC. However, PC players and mobile users will have to wait until 2022 to wreak some mayhem.
