ABG has learned that Rick May, a talented actor and performer, has passed away at the age of 79.
His passing comes as a result of a stroke he suffered in February. May was moved to a nursing home to receive care. Unfortunately, he contracted the COVID-19 Coronavirus whilst there. After being moved to a Swedish hospital, May passed away due to the virus.
Rick May may best be recognisable to video game players as the voice behind a few notable titles of yore. Back in the 1990s, May voiced Peppy Hare and Andross in Star Fox 64 on the Nintendo 64 gaming console. May also lent his voice to Genghis Khan and the Narrator in Age of Empires II. He also brought “The Soldier” to life in Team Fortress II.
We here at ABG wish to extend our deepest sympathies to Rick May’s family and friends at this difficult time.
