Redfall and Starfield Both Delayed to 2023

Bethesda has delayed two of its upcoming titles – Redfall and Starfield – “to the first half of 2023”.

The studio broke the news via Twitter, making an update announcement on the upcoming games;

“We’ve made the decision to delay the launches of Redfall and Starfield to the first half of 2023.

The teams at Arkane Austin (Redfall) and Bethesda Game Studios (Starfield) have incredible ambitions for their games. [And] we want to ensure that you receive the best, most polished versions of them”.

Whilst the news is a bit of a letdown, it does appear as though Bethesda (and its associated studios) is working hard on both titles.

Starfield was set to launch on “Bethesda Day” (11th November). This would have set it up nicely ahead of the Festive Season. Starfield has been described as a “next-generation” RPG in space. Think of it as something akin to Skyrim in space. Or, as it has been described elsewhere, “NASA meets Indiana Jones“.

Redfall is the latest offering from Arkane (Dishonored, Prey, Deathloop). It poises itself as a vampire-hunting FPS, complete with super-natural hijinks (hey, it is an Arkane game). Beyond the trailer shown at the Xbox and Bethesda Showcase, much less is known about Redfall.
