2020 is here and with it comes new consoles for everyone. And as a result of new consoles on the horizon, we can also expect new games.
One such new game could be a new Ratchet & Clank. Insomniac Games teased a new release to their insane world. The familiar-faced heroes might even come to the PlayStation 5 as a launch title.
CBR shares the intriguing rumour, reported by video game podcaster Colin Moriarty. Moriarty says:
“We’re going to get a Ratchet & Clank in-between [Spider-Man PS4 and its sequel] on PlayStation 5. I feel like that’s going to be a launch game, the Ratchet & Clank game that’s long been in development at Insomniac”.
The intergalactic duo has been a PlayStation-staple since 2002, with their most recent release four years ago. Therefore it’s time for a new, explosive visit to the whacky, gun-heavy escapades of Ratchet and Clank.
A movie based on the games was also released in 2016. Big names such as James Arnold Taylor, David Kaye, Paul Giamatti, John Goodman, Bella Thorn, Rosario Dawson and Sylvester Stallone starred in the film. Insomniac Games helped with production, screenplay and animation.
Sony itself hasn’t officially announced any of the launch games set for the PS5. However, a host of leaks and rumours point toward a reveal event in February. So we can all hope for new information after that.
