John Rambo is coming to Mortal Kombat 11 later this year, as a part of the Kombat Pack 2.
NetherRealm Studios announced the slightly surreal, however welcome, add-on via the Playstation Twitter, earlier this week. The short video below sees John Rambo in the prime of his life, shooting guns and shouting, all manly like. And to make the experience even more visceral Sylvester Stallone himself is voicing the bloodthirsty army vet.
However, Rambo isn’t the only one who is joining the Mortal Kombat slew of fighters. Fan favorite Mileena rounds out the roster, as well as the purple ninja-man Rain. Both of which are returning characters.
Mortal Kombat Ultimate Edition
In addition to the trio of fighters heading to Mortal Kombat 11 the game is also coming to next-gen consoles. If you already own Mortal Kombat 11 on PS4 or Xbox One, there’ll be a free upgrade available to the Ps5 and Xbox Series X and Series S versions of the game, on November 17, alongside Kombat Pack 2.
The updated version of Mortal Kombat 11 is called Ultimate edition and will feature 4K graphics and reduced loading times. For those of you who don’t already own Mortal Kombat 11, you will get the chance to pick it up when the new consoles launch. However, NetherRealm hasn’t yet confirmed how much the Ultimate edition will cost.
John Rambo is not the first bizarre character to join the deadly pugilists in Mortal Kombat 11. We’ve already seen the Terminator, Robocop and Batman’s arch-nemesis the Joker. We can only hope that NetherRealm keeps on adding more iconic people into the game. Who would you like to see being added to the line up next? Tell us in the comments below.
