Pokémon Masters has already pulled in $26 million from players. And that is within the game’s first week!
Pokémon Masters is now the second-best performing Pokémon mobile game. As reported by market analyst Sensor Tower, Australian, New Zealand, German, UK, US, and Japanese markets were accounted for.
And the Japanese marketplace reported accounted for 62% of the overall total – an estimated $16 million.
It should be noted that these figures do not currently include the Chinese market.
Comparatively, most other Pokémon-themed mobile games performed far worse within the same space of time. Pokémon Quest, Magikarp Jump, and Pokémon Rumble Rush all only made $3m, $1m, and $300k respectively.
By far and away, however, Pokémon Go had the greatest opening week, with a staggering $56 million made within its first week back in 2016.
