July 3, 2022

March saw Niantic making announcementa at a fast and furious pace. April seems to be starting out with the same trend. The first week of the month has been filled with a number of announcements. Some of which Pokémon GO Trainers have been anticipating for a while.

The announcements were started off by the exciting news that there will be 3 Pokémon GO Fests this summer.

  • June 13-16 in Chicago.
  • July 4-7 in Dortmund
  • Asia (location and dates to be announced)

Additional information about how to secure tickets to this year’s events along with the reveal of Safari Zone events that will occur in the second of 2019, are set to be announced in the upcoming weeks.

But wait, there’s more. In the same announcement Niantic provided the dates of the next 4 Community Days. Make sure to mark you calendars with the following dates.

  • May 19
  • June 8
  • July 21
  • August 3

Niantic isn’t slowing down with the events this year. No more than a day later Niantic announced the continuation of the Lunch Hour Experiment. The next Legendary Lunch Hour will be held on Wednesday April 10 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. in your local time zone.

There will be an increased number of five-star raids featuring Origin Forme Giratina during the event hour.

Niantic has advised that they are continuing to test this event as they explore new events around the different play styles. As always they appreciate feedback from the trainers as this helps them to make these events better.

Just when you thought the announcements were over. On April 8th Niantic announced a Special Raid week in which Trainers will be able to challenge Latios again. This time along with increased Raid Battles of Latios, Trainers may also be lucky and catch a Shiny.

The Latios Special Raid Week runs from Monday April 15 at 1:00 p.m. (PDT) to Monday April 22 at 1 p.m. (PDT).

Do you have what it takes to challenge Latios? Get ready to GO, Trainer—and best of luck!
