PlayStation Plus August 2021 Games Announced

Hopefully Your Expectations Are Tempered

On Wednesday, July 28th, Adam Michel (Senior Manager of Game Services Content for Sony Interactive Entertainment) revealed the free games for PlayStation Plus subscribers for the month of August. These games will be available for PS Plus members from Tuesday, August 3rd until Monday, September 6th.

Hunter’s Arena: Legends – PS4/PS5

First up for the month of August (both developed and published by Mantisco), released on July 15th, 2020 Hunter’s Arena is a 30 player PvP & PvE Battle-Royale. Unlike previous months maintaining day one launches on the PlayStation 5, this month offers a title up for grabs available for both PS5 & PS4.

Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville – PS4

Next up we have the latest Plants vs. Zombies installment: Battle for Neighborville, which launched on September 4, 2019, developed by PopCap Games and QLOC. Releasing to moderate reception, Neighborville is a refreshing take on the garden warfare spinoff series.

Tennis World Tour 2 – PS4

Lastly, for the month of August, PlayStation brings us Tennis World Tour 2. While some players may be excited about this free pick, it doesn’t score exceptionally well on aggregates. Thus closes what some may consider a slightly disappointing month of titles. That being said, “free” is “free”… with the cost of subscription.

That’s a wrap for this month’s PlayStation Plus games folks. Last month’s A Plague Tale: Innocence, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, and WWE 2K Battlegrounds will be available to grab until Monday, August 2nd.

If you’re an Xbox player check out the Games With Gold for August. Plus, if you’re so inclined, Stadia Pro has a selection of new, free games up for grabs as well.

Until next time, stay classy.
