Originally available on the Wii U, Pikmin 3 will be released on Nintendo Switch on 30th October. For those of you without a Wii U (of which I’m sure there are many) you’ll be able to experience Pikmin with some added extras.
In an announcement Nintendo outlined what the Pikmin 3 re-release will entail. Cooperative story mode, more accessibility to new players such as hints and difficulty options are all available. As well as the Mission mode DLCs from the original release. There are a number of technical changes too such as photo mode or the new camera lock on.
Nintendo have slated it as an easy and fun way for new (and returning) players to experience Pikmin. And considering the Switch’s player base compared to the Wii U, it may very well be the first Pikmin game for a number of people. Only a USD listing has been given: $59.99, and so we assume a full price release elsewhere. Although this may be enough for new players to experience the charming world of Pikmin, is this enough to returning players?
