NOMAD GAMES RETURNS TO SELF-PUBLISHING

Nomad Games first launched its partnership with Asmodee Digital in 2017. As an independent studio, developing digital board games, Nomad’s opportunity to work with Asmodee Digital, a growing specialist publisher for digital board games, was a perfect match. Over the last 2 years Asmodee Digital has greatly supported Nomad through funding and entering new platform markets.

Working with Asmodee has been a pleasure and we want to say a big thank you for their time and efforts in supporting our game developments” said Don Whiteford, Managing Director at Nomad Games.

Nomad Games and Asmodee have mutually agreed to stop their collaboration as of November 14th 2019. Nomad will be publishing Talisman: Digital Edition, Talisman: Origins, Smash Up, Fighting Fantasy Legends and Fighting Fantasy Portal through their in-house publishing team. Asmodee will continue to publish Love Letter.

We really enjoyed working together with Nomad Games for the past two years. It has been an amazing experience for both teams, that are very proud of what has been achieved for the games and their players. Considering the recent evolutions of both Nomad Games and Asmodee Digital, both teams have agreed that from now on players would benefit from being directly engaged by Nomad Games, as they have strengthened their publishing capacities. We wish Nomad all the best for their next adventures!”, said Pierre Ortolan, CEO of Asmodee Digital.

Having recently expanded their in-house publishing team, Nomad Games is looking forward to once again becoming a self-published developer. Their goal is to expand their publishing opportunities, devote more time to their titles and build on their publishing catalogue in order to build stronger and closer relationships with their customers.

We agreed with Asmodee Digital to stop our collaboration, which wasn’t an easy decision for both of us considering the joint successes we enjoyed during the last two years. We’re in a really strong position two years on when it comes to publishing our games. With the success of Mystic Vale we know we will be able to support our current and future titles successfully as an in-house publisher” said Don Whiteford.
