Sony’s PlayStation Experience is one of the biggest gaming events of the year for PlayStation fans. Always boasting a huge selection of game-play and trailer reveals.
Well this year there will not be a PSX due to a lack of games to show apparently. Sony Worldwide Studios head Shawn Layden recently stated:
“Now that we have Spider-Man out the door, we’re looking down into 2019 games like Dreams and Days Gone. But we wouldn’t have enough to bring people all together in North America to have that event. We don’t want to set expectations really high and then not deliver on that. It was a hard decision, but we have determined that this year we will not hold PlayStation Experience.”
Coming after a bare-bones E3 showing from Sony it seems like they are taking their foot off the gas as this current console generation comes to its conclusion.
