Earlier today, No Man’s Sky developer Hello Games’ founder Sean Murray tweeted about a ‘Large new patch now live on PC, PS4 and Xbox’. For a game that had a dodgy original release, bug fixes are coming thick and fast ever since the NEXT update last month.
Many players have been reporting issues with the new feature ‘frigates’, large ships which can be used to send on missions in far away systems for large rewards in an Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag ‘Kenway’s Fleet’ kind of idea. Once sent out on missions, they may end up taking damage, which means repairs will need to be carried out on return of the frigate before being sent out again. Players found that only some of the damages have been showing up, meaning the frigate cannot be completely repaired. Upon trying out for myself, it seems as though this wasn’t fixed in the current update, but with how frequent the patches are coming, it shouldn’t be too long before it is.
There are many fixes for mission blocking bugs, meaning you should finally be able to make progress towards the centre of the universe once again. A full list of all the patches can be found here, on the No Man’s Sky website. If you have spotted any other issues with the game, whether it be preventing you from making progress or only a small problem, a bug report form can be found at the bottom of the patch list.
