If you were hoping you’d be able to venture into Cyberpunk 2077 a little earlier than November, then CD Projekt Red have dashed all hope.
Confirming via Twitter, CD Projekt Red stated that Cyberpunk 2077 will have no Beta period, prior to the release of the game. The statement comes after fans started receiving scam emails, seemingly from the company, inviting players to sign for an early access Beta.
CD Project Red also stated that ‘When we contact you via email, it’ll always come from ‘cdprojektred.com’ address’ and never a third party.
This is not my stop.
It’s unclear what the scammers intended to gain from users, but it’s highly likely they would be after your gaming logins, so always check who has sent the email before signing up to anything!
So it looks like we’ll just have to wait until the 19th November to get our hands on Cyberpunk 2077, hopefully we’ll see some in-game footage in the next update from the developer’s Night City Wire (Their ongoing video series), but until then… we wait with bated breath.
Cyberpunk 2077 is due to release 19th November on PC, PS4 and Xbox One X, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions, coming sometime in 2021.
