For those who missed it, Nintendo help a virtual event called Indie World. It featured loads of games, and for a full list we encourage you to check them out direct. Nintendo did feature a number of upcoming switch games in their event and so we’ve picked out a few. If you would like the full event is viewable at the end of the article. Some of these are available now, so be sure to check them out.
Starting off the show is Supergiant Games‘ new title; Hades. A top down hack and slash game, Hades has you working with the Greek Pantheon. You attempt to escape from Hell and the God of Hell himself; Hades. Each time you die, and you will, you’ll end back up in a home area that you can upgrade.
Thunder Lotus‘ Spiritfarer was shown in a beautiful cinematic trailer. Spiritfarer is a 2D puzzle adventure game where you help spirits pass on to the afterlife. You’ll explorer environments, meet interesting characters and upgrade your insanely illogical ship. It all looks charming, beautiful and interesting.
Raji: An Ancient Epic
Coming to Nintendo Switch next is Nodding Heads Games‘ Raji: An Ancient Epic. Raji must save her brother and put an end to the demon war in this adventure game set in ancient India. Featuring some beautiful environments it is definitely one to look out for.
An interesting perspective based puzzle game. William Chyr Studio‘s Manifold Garden has you navigating an endless series of buildings that you must manipulate in order to progress. This Antichamber-like game looks interesting for those with a head for puzzles.
Stone Lantern Games trailer for Evergate shows a 2D puzzle game similar to an Ori game. You’ll manipulate yourself by bouncing off certain crystals, and in the process explore the afterlife. It shows some pretty environments that I would like to explore and undoubtedly there will be some hidden places.
So there we have it, five of the showcased games. If that’s not enough for you there was also the tease of numerous others.
The red Lantern
To name but a few, oh, and potentially the most important one: Untitled Goose Game: two player co-op! Which we’re sure to enjoy. HONK!
