Nintendo Direct 26/03/2020 – Nintendo Shows Off A Bunch Of New Games

Today’s Nintendo Direct was anything but mini as Nintendo showed off a whole load of new games coming to Switch.

Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition

Blasting off with a look at Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition, the direct revealed that the game will also feature a new epilogue titled Future Connected.

The game has previously been remade in 2015 as Xenoblade Chronicles 3D for the New 3DS.

You’ll get your chance to play Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition on May 29th.

The original Xenoblade Chronicles game, which marked the debut of fan-favorite character Shulk, comes to Nintendo Switch with a new epilogue story, Xenoblade Chronicles: Future Connected. 2K Series Coming to Switch

Three beloved series from 2K will be arriving on Switch, with Bioshock: The Collection, Borderlands: Legendary Collection and XCOM 2 Collection all releasing on May 29th.

Bioshock: The Collection includes Bioshock, Bioshock 2 and Bioshock Infinite, as well as including the games DLC’s.

If you haven’t played the series, this is a great time to jump in with all this content available.

Borderlands: Legendary Collection includes Borderlands, Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. The collection will also throw in the DLC for all games, making this a massive amount of content.

The XCOM 2 Collection will also include the expansion and all four available DLC packs.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance: The Black Order

The latest expansion for Marvel Ultimate Alliance: The Black Order was released today.

Fantastic Four: Shadow of Doom features a new story campaign adding the playable charters of Doctor Doom and the Fantastic Four.

This the third DLC expansion released as part of the Expansion Pass that includes, Curse of The Vampire and Rise of the Phoenix.

Shinsekai: Into the Depths

Shinsekai: Into the Depths releases for Switch today!

The game is an exploration adventure, as you craft items, upgrade your characters gear and dive deeper into the abyss.

Don’t forget to keep track of your oxygen and the pressure level to survive your descent.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons

The first seasonal event for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Bunny Day is scheduled to take place between the 1st and 12th of April.

Zipper the bunny will be hiding eggs for you to find across the island with special items being available to craft.

The Earth Day event was also teased for late April.

Good Job!

Work simulator Good Job! is available now.

A puzzle based, office work, two player creation, that lets you choose how to get the job done.

Complete your task using any mad idea you can think of, whilst destroying as much or as little property as you want.

Catherine: Full Body

The action packed puzzler is arriving on Nintendo Switch on 7th July.

This remake features an adult intimate story where your choices affect the characters relationships.

King’s Bounty II:

King’s Bounty II is a tactical RPG based on the original King’s Bounty from 1990.

The turn based stratgey game will feature weighted choices as you build relationships with characters and confront evil forces as you bring peace to he world.

Set in the vast realms of Antara, a great danger has arisen. A mysterious blight has descended upon its furthest reaches, corrupting the land and all who live there. Bravely Default II

A demo for Bravely Default II is available now on the Nintendo eshop.

Ninjala

A colourful fighter, Ninjala is coming on 27th May!

Pick your weapon as you fight it out in either free-for-all or a 4 vs 4 combat to claim points and win the game.

Katanas, hammers and even yo-yos are available as weapons as you sprint around the sizeable stages to help your clan.

Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy

Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy launched today on Nintendo Switch.

Join Luke Skywalker’s Jedi Academy as you face off against other players online in battles with up to 16 players using your custom character.

Pokémon Sword and Shield Expansion Passes

The Pokémon Sword Expansion Pass and Pokémon Shield Expansion Pass, will give players access to the Isle of Armor and the Crown Tundra in the Galar region.

On the first part of the expansion pass players will visit the Isle of Armor, where Trainers can gather at a new dojo to battle and master their skills.

Training at this dojo will let players receive the Legendary Pokémon Kubfu from Master Mustard.

Trainers will be able to use Kubfu to challenge the Towers of Two Fists on the Isle of Armor. Upon conquering the towers Kubfu will evolve into Urshifu.

The expansion will also bring new customisation options to the games, including outfits, hairstyles, new league card backgrounds, effects and frames.

  • Super Smash Bros. Ultimate announced it’s next fighter in the form an ARMS! character, being released in June 2020.
  • The Ring Fit Adventure Update will bring more options and tracks to the game, including tracks form famous Nintendo franchises.
  • Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics was revealed as a collection of 51 classic games from around the globe including Mancala, Slot Cars, Sliding Puzzle and Texas Hold’Em.
  • Panzer Dragoon: Remake is available today as a timed Nintendo Switch exclusive!
