New Survey Maps Elden Ring’s Favorite… Everything

There is no denying Elden Ring made a massive impact on the gaming world with 13 million copies sold and stellar reviews all around. The beauty of Elden Ring is that you can play it however you want to. Swords, magic, dragons, sentient talking pots, and bosses everywhere; nothing is off the table.

Play The Way You Want To.

Do you want to be the ultimate weeb and dual wield katanas while wearing classic samurai garbs? Go right ahead. Or, is the two-handed colossal weapon-swinging berserker-playstyle more your thing? Feel free to pick and choose from any of the crazy big swords and hammers available. Do you prefer ranged combat over the deadpan waving of sharp metal sticks? Why don’t you try magic? It even comes in different flavours: fire, lightning and blue. Or do you prefer to let others fight for you? Summon powerful warriors and a jellyfish with spirit ashes or just have other players solo bosses for you.

No matter what your preference is Elden Ring has it. And now, Frontline Gaming Japan has conducted a survey among 1700 gamers mapping everything from favourite NPCs to weapons and places. Everyone surveyed was at an average soul level of 150 along with between 100 and 150 hours of game time.

What Is The Meta?

The survey is riddled with facts. For example, the most popular starting class was Vagabond and the most valued stats were Vigor and Endurance. The most memorable boss battle was Starscourge Radahn and peoples’ favoured weapon class was katanas. There was little love for the fist-weapons and faith builds overall seem to be in the minority.
