UPDATE: According to Halo franchise development director Frank O’Connor, our hopes and dreams of a Halo 5 PC release are not happening at the moment.
“Sorry guys that’s an error,” said O’Connor, posting under the nickname Stinkles.
“It’s not impossible [Halo 5] could come to PC, but it’s not being worked on at this time. Black and white, no semantic trickery.”
Halo: Infinite, on the other hand, is scheduled to be released on PC alongside Xbox One. We’ll keep you updated if we find out anymore.
Everyone’s favorite online retailer Amazon has put up new box art for Halo 5: Guardians that could hint at a PC release.
We’ve seen “Xbox One Console Exclusive” on PC releases Quantum Break and Forza Horizon 3. It’s now looking like Guardians will follow suit.
With Halo Online (ElDewrito) having their development halted by 343 industries, it would make sense that Halo 5 come to the PC platform. PC players haven’t had a new Halo game since the sequel–unless you count Halo Wars 2. Will this be enough to deter players from the already popular Halo Online?
142 days have passed since ElDewrito went live with their 6.0 patch. Just two months ago, emergency patch 0.6.1.0 was released that fixed a potentially dangerous security vulnerability. The developers have alerted 343 of the situation.
Would you purchase Halo 5: Guardians for PC?
