This new gameplay trailer shows scenes, characters and weapons from all three acts – including material from the later parts of the game that has never been shown before – with a focus on the many dangers and Challenges that players face in the devastated landscape.
1976 With No Commercial Concorde
In an alternate year 1976, a vast and inexplicable artifact – The Dome – is discovered in the remote desert, filled to the brim with amazing technology that could advance humanity hundreds of years.
Players begin in one of five disciplines – science, engineering, security, management, or convict – which affect both their initial stats and specialization, opening (or preventing) unique dialogues within the game.
After entering the dome and completing the first level, a cataclysm occurs that transforms what was once the shining hope for the future into a desolate world where survival is all that matters.
Players fight in tactical, turn-based battles and explore the vast wasteland, bunkers and settlements under the dome. Choices made have long-term consequences and it is important to avoid anomalies while searching for mysterious artifacts.
Silence pays off and the character, including the weapons, should be regularly improved in order to withstand the constant threats.
The Factions Factor
During his journey under the dome, the main character encounters factions fighting for supremacy. Each of them has a different vision of the future of humanity and this will have a profound impact on the end of the game.
The protagonist can play through the story alone or invite unique characters to join their group. For example Yoko, a robot child in search of his identity and himself, or Sparrow, a mysterious fighter for justice and other unconventional heroes.
The game mechanics, partly inspired by books like Roadside Picnic, will appeal to RPG and survival fans alike.
