Who doesn’t love a good leak? (Me… it’s what keeps me in this job). In an unexpected turn of events, the long-awaited remaster of the excellent Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit has had its release date potentially leaked… and it’s closer than we thought.
Appearing and then disappearing on everyone’s favourite shopping site Amazon, a date of 13th November 2020 had been teased. This could just be a placeholder though as that date runs close to both Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla (17th November 2020) and Cyberpunk 2077 (19th November 2020).
No sign of a next-gen mention here though, just the current generation of consoles, although the Switch is an interesting addition. The game was originally released on Wii, but that was a totally different game to what PS3 and Xbox 360 players encountered.
Sorry Officer, I’m late for work
Having first been released way back in 2010, NFS: HP, which won several awards, including The Best Racing Game at the 2010 Game Critics Awards, featured a huge open-world, and the chance to play as both Racers and the Police which cemented the game in many players hearts (and consoles).
We will just have to wait and see if anything happens…. but keep those tyres warming just in case.
