Nacon has, officially, acquired developer Daedalic Entertainment for 53 million Euros [~£44m/~$60m].
The pair has partnered with one another for the upcoming The Lord of the Rings: Gollum game.
However, this will, as Nacon notes, “tighten their collaboration”.
Following the acquisition, Nacon will be able to acquire several other key IPs from Daedalic.
Additionally, Carsten Fichtelmann, Founder and CEO of Daedalic, and Stephen Harms, COO, will continue to run the company with, “a high degree of autonomy in development and publishing”.
Ultimately, this brings Nacon’s owned studios to a total of 16.
