With less than a month before we take to the streets of Yara in Far Cry 6, we’ve been blessed with a brand new trailer, showcasing more of what we can expect in-game.
The 6 and a half minute trailer sets up the history of Yara, Castillo’s brutal dictatorship and the small groups of resistance determined to overthrow Castillo and free Yara. Check it out below!
We also get a sneaky look at some of the special operations that Dani will be taking part in, one of which looks surprisingly similar to Jurassic Park.
These ‘special operations’, having first appeared in Far Cry 5: New Dawn, are a great addition, let’s just hope we don’t ACTUALLY fight off dinosaurs.
As well as a brand new trailer, we’ve also got our first indications of how much space the game will take. Now before we delve in, the games storage size hasn’t officially been confirmed by Ubisoft, so best to take this news with a grain of salt.

Now, where were we?
According to Twitter User Playstation Game Size, the PS5 version without a Day One patch will come in at about 39GB, which is surprisingly small for a game of this size. Also in the leak is the date on which players will be able to pre-load the game ready for its official release on October 7th, which is October 5th.
What is official, however, is the PC specs for the game. For the PC version, you’ll need at least 60GB of space with an additional 37GB for the HD textures pack if you want to play in 1440p resolution or higher. The developers also recommend installing the game on an SSD for after loading times and better performance.
In other FC6 news, the developers confirmed on Twitter that if you buy the game on PS4 or Xbox One, you’ll be able to upgrade to the next-gen version at no extra cost

Ubisoft has announced that you can claim a FREE copy of Far Cry 3 (Some say the best in the series) for PC by going to this website, logging in to your Ubisoft Connect account, and choosing Ubisoft Connect PC. If it doesn’t show up for you, double-check the URL so it reads the correct country (en-GB for the UK, en-US for America etc). The promotion lasts till 7:30 am (in your time zone) on September 11th.
Far Cry 6 launches on October 7th on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series S and X.
