Monster Hunter Rise Sold Over Four Million Copies

1.3 million copies sold in Japan, in just three days.

Monster Hunter is a hugely popular game. Least of all in Japan. Let’s just make sure we’re all aware of that going into this. Monster Hunter Rise released on March 26, on the Switch, and has already sold for more than four million copies worldwide, and 1.3 million copies were sold in Japan alone.

This is slightly less than Monster Hunter: World did, which sold five million copies in the same time, however, we have to remember that Monster Hunter: World was released for both Playstation 4 and Xbox One.

However, Monster Hunter Rise is also coming to PC in 2022. So there is definitely potential for Rise to overtake Monster Hunter World in the long run.
