As reported by NintendoLife (via ResetEra), the Nintendo Switch edition of Minecraft has now become the best-selling Microsoft game in Japan. In the Japanese market, Minecraft has sold over a million physical copies. Xbox Game Studios owns and publishes Minecraft.
So, whilst the Xbox has not fared too well in the region, Xbox’s IPs are roaring ahead. It’s also apparently the first third-part retail game to shift more than one million units on the Switch in Japan. Whilst this figure does not take digital downloads into consideration, it’s still a tremendous feat.
