McDonald’s Rescinds Their DualSense-Competition

McDonald’s Rescinds Their DualSense-Competition

Mcdonald’s Australia is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. In honor of this, McDonald’s was going to host a stream week with a new Twitch stream every day. However, they ran into some problems right away.

Firstly, the stream week was postponed from its originally planned date of August 1 and we still haven’t heard of when it will actually take place. Along with this announcement, McDonald’s unveiled the prize: a fast food-inspired DualSense controller. In order to win one, players would have to tune in to one of the seven streams throughout the week.

However, this was not appreciated by Sony. Because along with the announcement that Stream Week would not begin on its intended day also came the news that the PS5 controller would no longer be part of the anniversary.

“Sony PlayStation has not authorised the use of its controller in promotional materials related to the proposed Stream Week event and we apologise for any inconvenience caused. McDonald’s stream week has been postponed and Sony PlayStation controllers will not be included in the giveaway.”
