Lost in Random Wins Best Indie Award at Gamescom 2021

Zoink Games and Electronic Arts take the award for best indie title for their combined development, “Lost In Random” last night at Gamescom

Lost In Random

Last night, amid a host of fierce competition, the Best in Show Indie award at 2021’s Gamescom went to Zoink Games Lost in Random. For those not in the know, Lost in Random is a gothic fairy-tale-inspired action adventure, with clear ties to Tim Burtons instantly recognisable style.

The new IP is being developed by the award-winning Swedish game studio, Zoink and published by Electronic Arts. This is the second collaboration between the studio Zoink and Electronic Arts indie label, EA Originals. It’s earlier title Fe, released in 2018 scored prety well on Metacritic. So we hope this sets the standard for this latest collaberation.

In Lost In Random players will embark on a journey through the twisted, dystopian world of Random. The protagonist “Even” at all times accompanied by her her living dice, Dicey. In this kingdom, chance rules, and players will influence it in their favour. You can expect explosive dice battles, a bit of timeline tomfoollery, and a host of exciting abilities and spells.

“I’m so grateful for this award and thrilled for our team of passionate developers – whose ideas are all over the world of Random. It inspires us to go even further into odd territory and keep on doing our thing. I hope many will take a chance, roll the dice and experience this unrestrained creativity for themselves!”

Olov Redmalm, Creative Director and Lead Writer of Lost in Random in a press release for gamescom.
