Latest Arkham Spin-Off, Gotham Knights, Delayed to 2022

You’ll have to wait a bit longer to fight crime with your friends

Warner Bros., the developers of Gotham Knights, has announced that the game will be delayed into some time next year. The game was announced back in August 2020 and was set to release in 2021.

The new game is being developed by Warner Bros. Games Montreal, who also developed Batman: Arkham Origins. The premise of Gotham Knights is a Gotham City that needs to deal with the death of Bruce Wayne. In order to do so, several key characters from Batman’s life need to team up (somewhat reminiscent of the Batman R.I.P / Battle for the Cowl plotline). These characters include Nightwing, Red Hood, Batgirl, and Robin (Tim Drake).

In terms of gameplay, the new game will be an open-world action role-playing game (similar to recent Arkham titles). players will be able to experience it either solo or co-op.

The reason behind the recent delay is that the studio wants to give the game “more time to deliver the best possible experience for players”. However, the studio did promise to show more of the game in the coming months.

Gotham Knights will (hopefully) release on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC some time in 2022.
