Last Day of June gets Limited-Run Nintendo Switch Physical Edition

Super Rare Games (SRG) is proud to confirm its partnership with 505 Games will continue. As part of this partnership, SRG will release Ovosonico’s deep, interactive adventure game, Last Day of June. This marks the first time Last Day of June will be available in physical form for the Nintendo Switch.

Only 5,000 copies total will ever be printed, which go on sale on the last day of June [clever, hey?] Wednesday, 30th June at 6 pm BST (10 am PT/1 pm ET). The game is available, worldwide, exclusively at superraregames.com

In typical SRG tradition, this rare print physical release includes;

  • All the current content on its cart,
  • A full-colour manual,
  • Interior artwork,
  • An exclusive sticker,
  • And three trading cards randomly selected from the five-card set.

Fans won’t have long to wait, as SRG titles ship soon after going on sale.

About Last Day of June

Join Carl and June on what begins as a magical outing to their favourite spot. As you do, try to unlock the sequence of events that could save the day – and June’s life – in this cinematic experience. Last Day of June will compel you to ask yourself, “What would I do to save the one I love?”

Acclaimed team… – An interactive, emotional tale from an all-star team of creators. The team includes director Massimo Guarini (Murasaki Baby, Shadows of the Damned), musician/record producer Steven Wilson, writer/director/animator Jess Cope (animator on “Frankenweenie”, director for Metallica’s “Here Comes Revenge” music video).

☀️ Poetry in motion A true artistic innovation in visualising a bittersweet story told through a welcoming, painterly world. Last Day of June‘s world showcases the beauty of life and love, but also the contradictions of loss, across an interactive, poignant journey

Empathy through experience  Determined to save his beloved and fueled by the power of grief, Carl introduces players to June’s last day. But, as they interact with the narrative, players will progress from viewer to a character deeply intertwined in the story.

☀️ Fate-altering puzzles Relive June’s last day by travelling back in time through her paintings in an attempt to change the results of the fateful and final drive home by solving emotionally challenging puzzles.

Interactive storytelling – Carl and June’s story progresses at key moments where life-changing decisions need to be made. However, players may need to navigate unintentional consequences that create new dilemmas – and potentially new opportunities.
