On June 24th, 2020 Jay Boor representative of KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS replied to allegations made in segment from Gameblog.fr. These claims indicated that funds were reallocated from Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain into the development of the Silent Hills reboot. Not dissimilar to the way Randy Pitchford redirected SEGA cash intended for Aliens: Colonial Marines into Borderlands 2. Jay Boor’s reply has claimed these accusations as “categorically false”. It is as follows:
“KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS normally does not comment on rumors or speculation, however we can confirm that the article recently posted on https://t.co/zDfUnEnnip is categorically false.”Jay Boor, Global Head of Marketing and Communications KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS (@KojiPro2015_EN) June 24, 2020
With plenty of rumors swirling about, it’s good to see KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS respond swiftly to potentially inflammatory claims. In the meantime ‘KojiPro’ remains focused on Death Stranding‘s PC launch on July 24th.
