Jade Raymond was the driving force behind the Assassin’s Creed series as well as the Watchdog games back in the day when she still worked at Ubisoft. In 2019 Raymond joined forces with Google to develop content for Stadia’s live streaming service. However, in February this year, when Google announced that they will no longer be developing first-party titles. Raymond left her position as vice president to form her own studio after the announcement.
The Montreal-based Haven Entertainment Studio’s first title was rumored to be multiplayer-based. And now we come across even more evidence to support this state.
Multiple adds on LinkedIn suggests that not only is Raymond’s next game a multiplayer title but a live service game. The add is looking for a software engineer experienced with live service games as well as an online software engineer who’s been “involved in designing and implementing systems that can scale with large populations of players and be easily maintained in the long run”.
So it seems like Raymond’s next game will be a live service title. Although seeing as development started just a few months ago it’s probably going to be a while before we get any more details.
